Gary T. Schultz joined the Firm in 1986 and became partner in 1999. He received his BS in Accounting from West Chester University. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a CPA since 1993.
Gary is a part of the Small Business Services Group. He serves clients in a variety of industries including agriculture, manufacturing and construction. Many of his clients consist of closely-held businesses that require coordination between their related entities. Gary also works with both his business and individual client’s to implement tax planning strategies. As Managing Partner, Gary leads the firm by emphasizing personal contact with clients and staying on top of the constantly changing regulatory environment of the tax and accounting profession.
Gary is a member of TKE National Fraternity and Trinity United Church of Christ of Telford. Gary is an active member of the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce and has previously served as Board Treasurer. Gary enjoys giving back to the community by coaching teams in local youth basketball and baseball leagues. Gary also participates in a Souderton/Telford fast pitch softball league. Gary and his family live in Franconia Township.
Kerry A. Kulp joined the Firm in 1979 and became a partner in 1987. As Senior Tax Partner, Kerry is involved in directing tax planning and tax strategies and keeping the firm abreast of new tax laws and decisions. His commitment to helping clients over the course of this career has resulted in strong client relationships. Kerry is a member of the firm’s Medical services Niche Group.
Kerry is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College (BS). He has been certified since 1982 and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Kerry is an active member and the Treasurer of the Rotary Club of North Penn. He is on the Board of Directors of the North Penn Rotary Club Charitable Foundation, Inc. He currently is serving as the President of the Hatfield Chamber of Commerce and on the Executive Board. He had served for several years as the President of Filcor Condominium Association. He participates in fund raising projects for local nonprofit organizations that benefit the North Penn Community. An avid dog lover, Mr. Kulp volunteers for a Siberian Husky rescue. He has also been listed in Strathmore's Who's Who.
Roy P. Kershaw joined the Firm in January 2003. He graduated from Drexel University in 1987 with a B.S. in Accounting. Previously, Roy was with a national accounting firm where he was Director of Tax Services for the Philadelphia office.
Roy is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and has been a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant since 1990. He is also a member of the CPAmerica Tax Executive Committee and Cost Segregation Group.
Roy’s experience includes tax planning and compliance for corporations, individuals, partnerships and fiduciaries. He also has extensive experience in resolving Federal, state and local tax issues of businesses and individuals.
Roy’s community involvement with the Lenape Valley Basketball youth organization helps keep him focused on the future. This involvement has also taught him that communication, teamwork, creativity, innovation and flexibility are important qualities which he strives to bring to his work.
Rose A. Hartle joined the Firm in 2003 and has been Partner since 2010. Rose has been working in public accounting for over 25 years. Rose received her BS in Accounting from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American (AICPA) and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Rose obtains the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits to be in compliance with the US Government Accountability (GAO) requirement to perform audits according to Government Auditing Standards.
Rose’s experience encompasses a varied client base. Rose assists clients mainly in the accounting and audit section of the firm's practice. Her audit experience includes not-for-profit organizations, construction, real estate and manufacturing entities. Rose works with closely held companies, employee benefit plans, and service organizations. She helps clients on tax reporting and year-end tax planning. Rose is a member of the firm’s Not-for-Profit Services Niche Group.
She is currently a Board Member of The North Wales Area Library, serving as Treasurer. She is a co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care in Montgomery County. Rose is also Co-President of the Souderton-Telford BPW. Rose has served on the Philadelphia Chapter PICPA Committee for Social Responsibility. Rose and her family live in Towamencin Township.
Christopher Waldhof joined the Firm in 2003 when he relocated from New York. He received his BS in Accounting from Hofstra University in New York. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a CPA since 2001.
Christopher is a part of the Small Business Services Group. He works with privately held businesses to assist them with their accounting and financial statement needs and tax planning. Christopher earned his Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) certification from the AICPA in 2008. Christopher is also a member of the firms New Business/Start-up Group.
Jennifer joined the Firm in 2004 after graduating from Delaware Valley University with a BS in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She also earned her Masters of Business Administration from Delaware Valley University. She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer works with a varied client base, with an emphasis on medical, professional and closely-held businesses. She manages audits of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations and works with clients through business consulting, and personal and corporate tax planning. Jennifer is the leader of the firm’s Medical Services Niche Group.
Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Grace Inspired Ministries and she is a co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care in Montgomery County.
Tad K. Schantz joined the firm in 2006 after graduating from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting with a minor in Fraud Examination. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has been a CPA since 2009 and a Certified Fraud Examiner since 2013.
While his clients span many industries, Tad has experience with external audits including audits of federal funds, review and assurance services, forensic services, business consulting and compliance. Tad works with not-for-profit entities, manufacturers and other small businesses. He assists clients with tax planning and tax preparation for closely held businesses and individuals.
He is the leader of the Firm's Forensic Niche Group and a member of the Not-For-Profit Services Group.
Tad volunteers his time to the community by coaching youth sport teams.
Richard W. Baum co-founded the Firm in 1973 and is presently a Senior Partner. Under his direction, the Firm has developed into a diversified practice which strives to help its clients meet the demands of today’s business environment.
Dick is a graduate of Peirce Junior College (AS) and Philadelphia College of Science and Textiles (BS), now known as Philadelphia University. He has been a CPA since 1969 and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Dick devotes much of his time to practice development and has been instrumental in helping many start-up businesses become profitable operating entities. He has also helped business owners take their companies to the next level by assisting in developing succession plans and guiding them through the purchase or sale of a business. His portfolio of clients includes real estate developers, medical practices, manufacturers, commercial and residential contractors, property management, retail and various service industries.
Dick is involved in a significant number of church, civic and community service activities. Dick is currently serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Peaceful Living, a not-for-profit organization serving intellectually disabled persons in Montgomery County. He is an active contributing (Mennonite Economic and Development Associates), which is dedicated to the economic improvement of disadvantaged people throughout the world. In his local church, he currently serves on the Leadership Board of the congregation and is Vice President of the congregation’s pre-school Board of Directors.
Judy E. Smith joined the Firm in 1979 and became a Partner in 1981. Prior to joining Baum, Smith & Clemens, she was a senior accountant with a national firm and held teaching positions in accounting at WSU, DCC and Alfred Ag and Tech.
Judy is a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College (AAS) and the State University of New York at Albany (BS) (MS). She has been a CPA since 1976 and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Judy is involved with planning, supervising and performing quality control of audit and accounting engagements. She works with closely-held companies and business owners, including assisting with mergers and acquisitions. Judy serves clients in the areas of manufacturing, distributing, not-for-profit organizations, professional services, health care, retail, and property management. She is a member of the Firm's Manufacturing and Not-for-Profit Services Niche Groups.
Judy is a member of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. She has served as Treasurer and Council President of a local church, Treasury Team of Stray Cat Blues, Inc., an animal-rescue not-for-profit organization, as Chapter President of ABWA (American Business Women’s Association) and ASWA (American Society for Women Accountants) and Board member and Treasurer of Montgomery Theater. She presently serves on the Memorial Committee of a local church and Board member and treasurer of MCDC, (Montgomery County Development Corporation). She was a co-sponsor for the start of an Investment Club in the North Penn/Doylestown area.
Timothy L. Clemens joined the Firm in 1978 and became a partner in 1984. He graduated from Hesston College (AA), Goshen College (BA) and Temple University (MBA). He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Tim devotes much of his time to working with the closely-held business owner. He advises them on estate planning, tax planning and other management advisory services. He has participated in fund raising projects for not-for-profit organizations and has assisted potential donors with tax planning related to their gifts. Tim is a member of the Firm’s Construction and Manufacturing Services Niche Groups.
Tim serves on the Advancement Committee at Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. He is also a member of the Finance Committee at Penn View Christian School and a member of the Finance Committee at Salford Township. A former head coach in the Souderton-Harleysville Youth Basketball Association (SHYBA), he is now an advisor to the Association. Tim and his family reside in Telford.
Alfred (Fred) joined the firm in 1984. He received his BS in Accounting and MBA in Finance from Villanova University. Fred is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Fred specializes in the manufacturing and construction sectors. Within the manufacturing realm, he works with closely-held businesses in planning throughout the year and implementing tax saving strategies. Using his industry knowledge, Fred has worked with clients in developing inventory valuation methods and other costing applications. For his construction clients, Fred provides assistance on project financing, job costing, cash flow projections, and investment decisions. He is a member of the firm’s Manufacturing and Construction Services Niche Groups. Fred emphasizes the importance of planning, not just for the present, but also for the future. Assisting clients in achieving their goals makes for a successful long-term relationship.
Fred is a member of the Montgomery County Development Corp. (MCDC). Through his years of involvement with Upper Moreland youth sports organizations, Fred helped provide youngsters with growth and character development through team sports. He brings this team concept with him to the workplace.
Paul C. Kozeniewski joined the Firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1999. He received his BBA in Marketing from Temple University. He has been a CPA since 1990 and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Paul devotes much of his time to working with service industry and real estate clients. He is a member of the firm's Real Estate/Construction and Medical Niches. He also works with the partner group in implementing various marketing programs and resources for the firm.
Paul is a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletics Association (PIAA) Basketball Official, past President and current Treasurer of the Triangle Club of Montgomery County, a member of Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), and Treasurer of the North Penn PIAA Basketball Officials Chapter.
