We understand the complexity of performing employee benefit plan audits and that's why we have a dedicated team of auditors that possess the specialized knowledge and experience needed to ensure compliance with the appropriate standards and changes in regulations that may impact companys' employee benefit plan audits.  At Baum, Smith and Clemens, LP, we are committed to providing the highest quality audit possible.

Our Audit Team is both professional and easy to work with. We plan and execute our audits in a way that maximizes audit efficiency and quality providing the plan administrator and human resources personnel confidence in the plan reporting and management.

In May 2015, the U.S. Department of Labor, the administration of employee benefit plans, issued its report on the quality of audit work performed by independent qualified accountants with respect to financial statement audits of employee benefit plans covered under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 for the 2011 filing plan year. The Agency assessment selected a sample of 400 plan audits. The assessment found that 39% of the audits contained major deficiencies.  Five of Baum, Smith & Clemens employee benefit plan audits were included in the selection. We are proud to announce that the Baum Smith and Clemens’ audits that were included in the sample had no deficiencies.
